The "Good Start" program is an initiative that provides financial support of PLN 300 per child once a year, intended to cover the costs of school supplies, such as textbooks and supplies. This benefit is available to children in school aged 7 to 20, and in the case of a certified disability - up to the age of 24.
Age is counted by year, which means that students in the final years of technical schools, high schools and post-secondary schools are also eligible for support if they reached the age limit before the start of the current school year. Importantly, this program is available regardless of the level of income earned by the parents. The support does not cover children attending so-called kindergartens or students.
Applications from July 1st, online onlyApplications for the benefit can be submitted from 1 July until the end of November, only electronically. Available channels include the mZUS application, electronic banking and the Emp@tia portal. When submitting the application, you must provide your bank account number, email address, phone number, and also fill in the children's data and information about the schools they attend or will attend.
