Anna Wajszczuk-Religa was a doctor of medical sciences, associated for decades with the Medical University of Warsaw. She worked at the Department of Experimental and Clinical Physiology, where she trained medical students for many years. She was associated with the university until 2017. She also had international experience - she was a scholarship holder of prestigious foreign academic centers.
Anna Wajszczuk-Religa was the wife of Prof. Zbigniew Religa – a pioneer of Polish cardiac surgery and one of the most famous doctors in Polish history. For years, she supported her husband, but remained far from the media hustle and bustle. Although she rarely appeared in public, she enjoyed great respect in the medical community as a teacher and doctor.
