"The coaching staff of the Colombian Senior National Team informs that Jhon Jader Durán of Al-Nassr FC (KSA) is leaving the training camp due to a recurrence of lower back pain that is preventing him from being fit to face Argentina on Matchday 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers," the official statement said.

Nightmare afternoonThe forward, who has already scored three goals for the senior team, was imprecise in his passing and struggled to control several balls sent his way by his teammates in the match against Peru.
In turn, his movements caused complaints from more experienced players like James Rodríguez.
Durán also angrily complained to the match referee, Brazilian Wilton Sampaio, for not calling a foul against him in the penalty area.

He also got into a fight with Peruvian center back Renzo Garcés, who fouled him in the 4th minute, sparking a fight on the pitch that lasted throughout the first half.
