Avincola pays homage to Carella with an album, live performances, and a book.

Avincola pays homage to Enzo Carella. He does so with the awareness of a singer-songwriter and the affection of a fan. 'Dolce tu per tu' is the title of the volume dedicated to the artistic and personal life of the artist, who passed away in 2017. In addition to the book, the multifaceted project also includes an album featuring Avincola singing Carella's songs and a live performance. Aiming to bring to light a lesser-known cult singer-songwriter and to reclaim his poetics, the book also collects stories from friends, musicians, and those who always loved Carella. A story never told before, punctuated by light and shadow, beaches and Hawaiian shirts, Lambretta scooters, soccer balls, bags flying from the fifth floor, and bottles of atropine. Departures and returns on an emotional journey to rediscover an artist who lies forgotten by the mainstream. The book also contains previously unpublished photographs that accompany the testimonies of Goblin and Samuele Bersani, Colapesce, Fulminacci, Dente, Galeffi, Maccio Capatonda, and Francesco Micocci. As for the album, Avincola selected the songs for recording from all of Enzo Carella's albums, of which he is a profound expert, arranged chronologically. "We decided to respect the magnificent arrangements of the musicians who accompanied him over time, surrounding our entire 'feeling' with our own personal sonic fantasies. What more can I say? It was very moving. Those who know how to listen will hear," explains Simone Avincola, who, in addition to having participated in Sanremo, boasts illustrious collaborations with artists such as Pasquale Panella, Fiorello, Freak Antoni, Morgan, and Riccardo Sinigallia. Guests on the album include Dente, Anna Castiglia, Mille, and Ciliari. The concert that builds on the album has the quality of a journey. Avincola and his band will perform songs by the late singer-songwriter, enriched with readings from the book 'Dolce tu per tu'. The concert to celebrate the performance will take place on September 13th in Rome (Largo Venue).
