From the Templars to the Crystal Balls. Exploring the Vimercate area.

Many hidden treasures and astonishing opportunities, between medieval history and industrial tourism
Templars, towers, castles : a journey back to the Middle Ages between Mezzago , Aicurzio , and Sulbiate for those who aren't traveling this summer. With a journey through the history of Italian industry, Burago offers a tour for nostalgics of Bburago and its legendary models, as well as lovers of Crystal Balls , the plastic bubbles beloved by children in the 1980s and 1990s, created here at the Pasini Laboratory on Via delle Industrie. New details for a "do-it-yourself" tour for those who want to discover the secrets of the Vimercate area . Also in the town of industry, lovers of "English" gardens will be able to feast their eyes on the estate surrounding Villa Mylius Oggioni , a newly raised 18th-century residence that offers visitors a postcard not to be missed: the decorations on the ground-floor windows.
A few kilometers further north are the Santogne and Campegora trails, where you can enjoy a stroll immersed in greenery along the cycle/pedestrian path from the Campegorino Sanctuary to Castel Negrino, stopping at the Oratory of Santa Maria della Neve. Just close your eyes for a moment to find yourself in the footsteps of the Knights of the Temple of Solomon, who had a sacred building linked to the order in Aicurzio. A selfie at Castello Lampugnani Cremonesi in Sulbiate is a must. Built in 1452, it is famous for the legends of the ghosts that supposedly inhabit it. The elegant and imposing building has dominated the town center for centuries. Like the tower of Palazzo Archinti in Mezzago, in the heart of the pink asparagus village: almost 40 meters high, it dates back to the 12th century. The large clock on the sixth floor is unique in Lombardy: in fact, there are no other "civil time" systems in the region. Not far away, at Villa Brasca (via Concordia 37), the orchard is open to all.
