The All-Russian Athletics Federation informed TASS that robots will be presented at the Russian Athletics Championships in Kazan.
These devices differ in their technical parameters, but one of them is equipped with artificial intelligence and is capable of interacting via speech.
Russia is making progress in robotics. According to the National Association of Robotics Market Participants, in 2022 there were 10 robots per 10,000 workers in Russian industry.
In May 2024, President Vladimir Putin approved a decree on national development goals, which sets the goal of becoming one of the top 25 countries in terms of robotics by 2030. To achieve this goal, it is planned to increase the number of industrial robots used in the country almost eightfold by 2030, reaching 100 thousand units.
