A baby from the last century was born in the USA

A boy was born in the United States from an embryo that had been preserved and stored since 1994, MIT Technology Review reported.

"Thaddeus Daniel Pierce, born July 26, developed from an embryo that had been stored for 30 and a half years," the magazine wrote.

It is noted that after the baby's birth, the record was updated. Now Thaddeus Daniel Pierce is considered the "oldest child."

In 1994, an unnamed woman underwent IVF. One embryo was transferred into her body and three more were cryopreserved.
