3 simple tricks to chill beer in minutes without using a freezer

Beer fans know that the drink's nickname isn't "cold" for nothing. In Brazil, for example, with the hot weather, people crave something refreshing. Furthermore, hot beer can significantly alter its flavor and aroma, compromising its quality .

If you've prepared an event and your freezer isn't keeping the beer cold, there are tricks that can lower the temperature .

The techniques are easy to do and involve items you have at home: ice, water, salt, and alcohol to create an accelerated cooling environment, capable of transforming a lukewarm drink into a perfect sip in just a few minutes; paper towels and a cooler with ice.

1- Cooler with ice

The key to keeping all the beers in the cooler cold is to create layers, alternating between ice and beer.

2- Ice, salt and alcohol

Another way to chill your drinks is with salt, alcohol, and ice. In your chosen container, place 500g of salt, 500ml of alcohol, and ice. Then, submerge the bottles and let them cool.

According to the Kitchen Guide, adding salt lowers the freezing point of water, causing ice to melt more quickly. This process removes heat from the containers, speeding up cooling.

3- Paper towels

Wrap the can or bottle in a paper towel and dampen it with water. Then place it in the freezer/cooler and wait a few minutes. Then, enjoy.
