Roland Garros 2025: Carlos Alcaraz again with the Musketeers Cup!

All those who spent Sunday afternoon watching the men's final of the Grand Slam French Open have no right to complain. Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner provided the viewers with great emotions, comparable to the great battles of Rafael Nadal with Roger Federer or Novak Djokovic.
World-class stars in the stands at Roland Garros 2025Many celebrities from the world of sports and business were in the stands, including actress Natalie Portman, film director and producer Dustin Hoffman, basketball player Tony Parker, Pharrell Williams, Andre Agassi and Formula 1 driver George Russell.

In the first set, Sinner signaled minor problems with his foot, and Carlitos with his right eye, but as it turned out, it had no impact on their further play. Both gentlemen impressed with excellent physical and mental preparation.
The beginning was very even, but from the score of 4:4 the situation changed. Then the Italian won five games in a row, who took the initiative for a moment. The world ranking leader was subdued and restrained in emotions, dominating at times in Chatrier's arena.
With his 5:3 lead in the second set, Nadal's compatriot suddenly "woke up" and regained his freedom in the game, leading to a tie break. In the tiebreaker, the tennis player from sunny Italy kept more composure and after a spectacular forehand , took the lead 2:0 in sets.

The Italian was as reliable as a Swiss watch, but in the third part of the match he began to falter and his performance dropped a bit.
Alcaraz immediately took advantage of his worse form , winning the game 6:4. The game of both players resembled a sine wave – one moment the defending champion was on the wave, and the next his opponent.
In the decisive sets , the gladiators rose to the heights of their abilities, despite enormous fatigue, treating the fans with great actions. At the end of the fourth set, Sinner was already in the garden and greeted the goose, having three match points, but this did not break Carlitos. The Spaniard defended all the match points mainly with a solid serve and returned to the game with a clenched fist, finally making up for all the losses.

At the beginning of the fifth set, Alcaraz clearly got the wind in his sails , harassed his rival with effective shortcuts and played brilliantly in defense. It seemed that he would soon achieve his goal, but as it quickly turned out, nothing could be further from the truth. Sinner did not intend to say pass, surprising with incredible ambition and was reborn like a phoenix from the ashes. The Italian was almost on his back, but from the score of 3:5 he won three games in a row, sometimes pulling aces out of the hat. The fate of the final was decided only in a masterful tie break, ultimately dominated by Alcaraz. Ferrero's protégé played the most important points like a professor and achieved an epic victory in Paris, triumphing 4:6, 6:7, 6:4, 7:6, 7:6 and reaching for the Musketeers' Cup again.

Let us recall that on Saturday, the women also treated the fans to a very interesting final. American Coco Gauff won after a twisty match with the favored Aryna Sabalenka.
