LOT is considering a new destination. This is what all Poles are waiting for.

According to the Bangkok Post, LOT Polish Airlines is on the verge of launching direct flights to Thailand. To launch the flights last week, LOT Polish Airlines' network director, Robert Ludera, met with representatives of the Thai Tourism Authority. It's known that this includes not only the Bangkok route, but also flights to Krabi Province and Phuket. Poles have been waiting for such an aviation revolution for years.
Poles want flights to ThailandLaunched in 1978, the Warsaw-Bangkok route has had its ups and downs. Ultimately, the route didn't survive the test of time and was canceled over a decade ago. However, the Polish carrier is taking steps to soon reinstate the route. Given Thailand's great popularity among Poles, demand for such tickets could be significant.
"Poland is the largest inbound tourism market among the twelve Eastern European countries, with arrivals (through August 10) up 30 percent year-on-year," writes the Bangkok Post. Connections from Poland would also help attract tourists from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. From Poland to Bangkok and beyond
Last year, LOT Polish Airlines even launched short-term charter flights from Warsaw to Bangkok, Krabi, and Phuket. These connections could now return to their regular schedules. Director Robert Ludera has already met with representatives from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) regarding this matter. However, the potential launch date for flights from Poland to Thailand remains unknown.
It's known that Bangkok, beloved by young travelers, has been on LOT's expansion list for several seasons. The airline also plans to expand to other long-haul destinations, such as Singapore and Montreal, in the coming years.
