Professions that will be needed in the future

Okay… But which professions will be the most sought-after ?

The report’s authors pay particular attention to agricultural workers . The green transformation , climate action and growing food needs will increase the demand for agricultural workers by 34 million jobs by 2030.

We have other types, too. Due to the growth of e-commerce , fast deliveries , and changing shopping habits , researchers are confident that delivery drivers will not lose their jobs.

The same goes for programmers and software developers . Technology is racing forward, and people who can create and develop it will be worth their weight in gold.

Salespeople are still needed. Human contact is irreplaceable in trade

The expansion of cities and infrastructure and investments in green buildings will also translate into demand for specialists in the construction industry .

Interestingly, the report also mentions shop assistants . It turns out that despite digitalization , human contact in trade will continue to be of great importance.

Food processors , nurses , social workers and career counsellors will also be at the forefront of the future. An ageing population and changing healthcare needs will make working in the care sector a stable choice for many years to come.

Want a job? Develop these skills

According to the report, the skills required on the job market will also change by 2030. Good news: Some companies are already investing heavily in training , upskilling and reskilling to prepare their people for new challenges.

Important skills will be:

  • Technological competences : artificial intelligence, big data analysis, cybersecurity
  • Soft skills : creativity, mental resilience, flexibility and a desire for lifelong learning
  • Leadership skills , talent management and environmental awareness

The world of work is changing. On the one hand, this raises certain concerns, but on the other, it gives us the chance for new, interesting careers and development at an unprecedented pace. So it's worth looking around for opportunities now!
