In the second half of June, the documentary film "Post Truth" will hit cinemas in at least 20 Turkish cities, which was generated entirely by artificial intelligence. It will be the first such AI-film in history to be shown in Turkish cinemas. Its trailer has just been presented.

The English-language documentary, titled "Post Truth," was created by Turkish company Baska Sinema , which distributes the Oscar-winning animated feature "Flow," among others. The production is by Turkish AI pioneer Alkan Avcioglu.

As Deadline reports, Avcioglu worked on "Post Truth" for over 15 months . During that time, over 55 hours of video were generated. The entire film was created by artificial intelligence. This includes not only the visuals, but also the music, sound, and voiceover. The production is described as a fake film about the real world. It addresses the relationship between humans and technology and asks questions about a world in which reality and facts no longer matter. The screenplay was written by Vikki Bardot.

Before turning to AI for creative purposes, Avcioglu was a professional film critic and later worked in distribution, acquiring films at film festivals and major markets. In 2022, he moved into AI and quickly became one of the most important AI artists. He was one of the first AI creators accepted at traditional art events.
