A British restaurant has come up with a revolutionary idea. You won't find it anywhere else.

In addition to the food menu, restaurant patrons often have access to an extensive wine list, cocktails, and the recently fashionable mocktails – non-alcoholic cocktails. A restaurant in the UK has gone a step further, introducing a water menu to its offerings.
Michelin-starred restaurant La Popote in Cheshire has decided to keep up with the times by offering its guests a water menu . This is a response to the growing trend among consumers to give up alcohol. As CNN reports, starting August 22nd, diners will be able to choose from three different bottles of still water and four sparkling waters, as well as free tap water.
Chef Joseph Rawlins , who founded and runs La Popote restaurant with his French partner Gaëlle Radigon , explained that the idea for this menu came from water sommelier Doran Binder . He suggested the restaurateur introduce such a menu several years ago, but at the time, Rawlins found the idea amusing and somewhat abstract.
"I laughed. At first, I thought it was a ridiculous idea," Rawlins told CNN.
The chef discovered that water can be combined with dishes, just like wine, during one of his several water tastings.
"During the second tasting, we used the exact same waters we tried during the first, and paired them with specific products—such as Manchego cheese, Comté cheese, chocolate, Parma ham, and olives. As with wine, the taste simply changed," admitted the chef.
Surprised by this fact, he decided to include waters from Great Britain, France, Spain and Portugal on the menu.
"We recommend room-temperature water with ice and a slice of lemon. Water is like wine—if it's too cold, it kills all the flavor," he added.
According to Binder, it is the first restaurant in the UK to offer a water menu and one of the few in the world.
