The dreamy natural pool in Huesca with crystal-clear waters: a fairytale place in the heart of the Pyrenees

The Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park is undeniably one of the most magical places in Spain. This true Pyrenean paradise encompasses picturesque landscapes north of Huesca. However, throughout the protected area nestled in the Sobrarbe region, you can find true treasures, such as the Poza del Molino, an impressive natural pool hidden in the fascinating Ordesa Valley.
Located near the town of Torla-Ordesa, this wonderful pool is one of the most extraordinary in both Aragon and the entire Iberian Peninsula, as its crystal-clear waters flow between large rock walls, creating an Eden ideal for exploring in summer. It's also located at one of the most popular northern gateways to the natural park, making it an ideal summer excursion if you're in the area.
The idyllic Poza del Molino in the Ordesa ValleyJust a short distance from the town of Torla-Ordesa lies this paradise hidden among the imposing Pyrenean peaks, where the Ara River creates a fascinating natural pool surrounded by large rocks and tall trees, making this spot look like a movie set. The crystal-clear (and icy) waters of the stream usually flow rapidly in the area, but at this point they slow down to form a dreamy pool.
This pool is perfect for cooling off during the hottest summer months , all surrounded by splendid surroundings. However, its location poses certain hazards, such as the rocks on both banks and in the middle of the riverbed. Therefore, it's important to exercise caution when diving in to ensure maximum enjoyment.
La Poza del Molino is located about two kilometers from the town of Torla-Ordesa, so it takes just half an hour to reach it along a route that runs along paths surrounded by trees, with the sound of running water as your companion throughout the journey. Discovering it on a hot summer day is one of the best ways to beat the heat in Aragon and also spend an incredible day surrounded by extraordinary nature.
How to get to Torla-Ordesa and the Poza del MolinoTo reach the village of Torla-Ordesa, near the French border, and enjoy the wonderful Poza del Molino, take the A-23 from the city of Huesca. When you reach El Puente de Sabiñánigo, turn onto the N-260 and then join the N-260a and, finally, the A-135, which leads to the town center. The journey takes an hour and a half.
