Prices for the Sabana Train: What days, times, and routes does it operate?

According to the entity, more than 207 billion pesos have been invested since 2013 to restore this railway corridor.

The Tren de la Sabana (Savannah Train) operates every weekend in Bogotá, a tourist attraction that travels through various locations in the nation's capital and the savannah landscapes on its route to the municipality of Zipaquirá.

However, during this school break, it can be a family activity, with the idea of being aboard fully restored 19th-century locomotives while enjoying live music.
So if you want to take this tour, you can purchase tickets at the La Sabana Station ticket office, located at Calle 13 # 18 – 24, or at the Usaquén Station ticket office, located at Av. Carrera 9 # 110 – 08.
Organizers suggest purchasing tickets in advance, especially for trips on weekends or during the holiday season.Ticket prices vary by age. For example, for tourists between 13 and 59 years old, the price can be $89,000; for adults over 60, it's $80,000; for children between 3 and 12, it's $80,000; and children under 3 are free.

Please note that the ticket price includes round-trip travel from Bogotá to Zipaquirá. The ticket does not include any meals or admission to the Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral. According to Turistren, the Tren de la Sábana (Shroud Train) has two departure points in Bogotá. The first departure point, located on the west side of the Gran Estación Shopping Center (Carrera 66 and Calle 25, railway platform in front of Plazoleta de Los Alfiles), is at 8:45 a.m.

And at the second point, which is at the Usaquén Station, on Carrera 9 Avenue # 110 – 08, the departure is at 9:15 am
After this, the train arrives at 10:45 am at the Zipaquirá station and begins its return to Bogotá at 3:15 pm. Arrival in the capital is scheduled for 4:45 pm at the Usaquén Station and 5:15 pm on the western platform of Gran Estación.Please note that the entire trip lasts 8 hours and 30 minutes . The outbound and return journeys must be used on the same day as the date on your ticket. Trips can only begin in Bogotá, as single journeys are not sold.
