From Tiramisu Latte and Pistachio Paradiso to Dolce Vita Coffee: What is Fellini Coffee, the smallest coffee shop in New York?

From Tiramisu Latte and Pistachio Paradiso to Dolce Vita Coffee: What is Fellini Coffee, the smallest coffee shop in New York?

"Legends only" and "You, Me & New York" are the phrases that can be read on the inside of the cups and on the glass door of Fellini Coffee , the smallest coffee shop in New York City .

In Manhattan 's West Village neighborhood, the bar is just 4.88 meters tall with a walk-up window for ordering and taking out, but also a handful of tables on the sidewalk.

Where is it? 174 7th Avenue S , that is, at the triangular corner of Seventh Avenue, Waverly Place, and Perry Street.

While the establishment doesn't have indoor seating, an employee takes orders and a barista prepares the coffee. Styled like a small Italian café, the sidewalk space seats about 20 people outdoors.

During New York's colder months, customers can sit under outdoor heaters. And the windows remain open for quick takeaway orders.

Founded by chef and entrepreneur Franco Noriega, Fellini Coffee combines "culinary passion, cultural heritage, and cutting-edge hospitality."

This first branch focuses on the essentials: artisanal coffee from select beans to small bites and a carefully curated selection of wines.

However, as the brand grew, larger branches emerged, allowing the restaurant to expand its culinary offerings without losing its Italian essence.

In SoHo , Chelsea and the Upper West Side , in addition to coffee, snacks and wine, diners can enjoy fresh burrata, prosciutto, specialty croissants, pizzas and Aperol Spritz, allowing them a journey through the senses, from the flavors of Italy to the heart of New York.

While the larger locations invite you to linger, share, and enjoy more elaborate dishes, the West Village location is ideal for those looking for a quick coffee on a charming corner.

The specialties

Opened July 14, 2023, this Fellini Coffee—like the others in the Big Apple—is inspired by Italian film director Federico Fellini and his iconic films, featuring illustrious posters and photographs of famous artists.

There are also coffees reminiscent of the world of cinema, such as Dolce Vita , a sweet and creamy latte with caramel. Or the Pistacchio Paradiso , a coffee with milk, foam, and pistachio cream.

Because by day, the place becomes a cozy haven for enjoying original coffees, such as the Tiramisu Latte , a double espresso with mascarpone, cocoa powder, and milk. Or the Coco Nero , a double espresso with coconut cream and iced coconut water.

There's also Matcha Latte, Italian hot chocolate, lemonades, peach iced tea, juices, croissants, cookies, and avocado toast, among many other things.
