For many people, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, as it greatly helps to start the day with energy. In fact, research suggests that this meal should be the one that contains the most healthy, good, and abundant nutrients .
However, there are those who tend to include a very popular food combination in that dish of the day and that is cereal with milk , either as a complement or as a single dish.

Experts warn that consuming this dish could have significant health implications, depending on the ingredients and nutritional value of the foods chosen .
A study conducted by Mexico's National Institute of Public Health (INSP) and the London School of Tropical Hygiene analyzed 371 types of boxed cereals, and the results showed that 69% of the products analyzed were categorized as "less healthy" due to their high sugar content.

According to the report, products aimed at children contained up to 40 grams of sugar per 100 grams , a figure that is worrying considering that doctors have recommended that daily consumption should not exceed 25 grams for the average adult.

Another effect is metabolic and cardiovascular dysregulation, since the regular consumption of these grains contributes to metabolic problems that affect the body's balance.

Regarding milk, which is often the main complement to cereal, it is also considered a very important food for bone health and growth, but it is not without doubts either .

According to a study conducted by the University of Los Angeles , consuming milk regularly could have health consequences, such as lactose intolerance, thyroid problems, or leaky gut syndrome (when nutrient absorption is compromised).
On the other hand, a study from Uppsala University in Sweden and the People's Liberation Army General Hospital in China found that high milk consumption in animal models showed neurodegeneration and oxidative stress due to exposure to galactose.
