Bogotá city authorities are calling on the community to participate in the process of obtaining student spots in public schools in the capital for the 2026 school year. How can you apply?
According to information published on the District Administration website, the government agency's commitment to the education and training of children and young people was confirmed. Therefore, it indicated that parents or guardians must visit www.educacionbogota.edu.co, a platform that hosts a form they must complete to begin this process. New students must apply for a spot from August 1st to September 14th. Starting September 30th, contact media will inform them of their assigned spot, and enrollment can be completed from December 1st to 26th.

From September 22 to December 12, enrollment will be formalized and the respective transfers will be considered. Finally, starting January 5, 2026, through the Local Education Directorates, and on January 14, at the different schools, new requests and, of course, transfers will be processed.

The Bogotá Mayor's Office informed citizens that it has developed a tool that allows students to transform their pedagogical practices for learning mathematics with the help of AI in an initiative supported by the District Secretariat of Education (SED).
