What are the mysterious holes in our phones next to the charger and what are they for?

Surely, when you've charged your phone, you've noticed the small round holes next to the charger port many times, but you've never thought about what they do, or perhaps you think they're there simply for design. We don't usually pay attention to these things, but there are other holes scattered throughout the phone .
You may not have wondered what their functions are, but to give you an idea, we have to tell you that they are essential for our mobile to function correctly .
What are the holes in our phones for? It's true that one of the holes we're most familiar with, basically because it's necessary to start using a phone, is the one next to the SIM card tray . It's simply used to insert or remove it using the extraction tool that usually comes with phones. But beyond this, there are other smaller ones on the bottom and top of the device that perform key functions.
For example, in the case of the hole next to the charger, it's usually the device's secondary microphone , but keep in mind that most modern phones already have several microphones distributed throughout the casing itself, with the aim of improving sound in different contexts where the user moves. What they do is help the voice to be heard much more clearly and free of interference.
When using the phone to talk or record, the main microphone is located at the bottom , although the secondary microphone can also be found next to it or at the top, depending on the model and brand of the phone. In my case, I have a Vivo V50 5G phone, and it has two microphones next to the USB port and three more at the top, one of which is more located in the camera area.
Those next to the camera sensors are designed to capture sounds and voices when recording videos to improve audio reception, although they also help with calls. It's also worth noting that some higher-end Android and iPhone models tend to have more microphones, and the secondary microphone hole can be integrated with the speakers and protected by a fine mesh.
