Google unveiled the new Pixel 10: prices, details, and the innovations that put them ahead of the iPhone.

Google announced its latest range of phones, the Pixel 10 , on Wednesday, devices that seek to help users be more productive, and even become better photographers , thanks to their artificial intelligence (AI), in a presentation full of criticism of Apple and its devices.
The four new phone models are: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
At first glance, what caught our attention most was its refined and sustainable design. Google maintained the aesthetic lines of previous generations, but introduced a recycled aluminum chassis , a slimmer frame, and a matte-finished back that improves grip. All of this is protected with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, one of the world's toughest glass products.
However, the big news is the introduction of Qi2 magnetic wireless charging , a first for an Android, and that the models are equipped with the new Tensor G5 chip "to offer you the latest in artificial intelligence."

It's a 6.3-inch Actua OLED panel with a variable refresh rate between 60 and 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits, ensuring visibility even in direct sunlight . In practice, this means brighter colors, deep, error-free blacks, and greater fluidity for both streaming movies and playing video games.
The Pixel 10 Pro maintains its 6.3-inch size, but debuts an LTPO OLED panel with an adaptive refresh rate between 1 and 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 3,300 nits, which saves battery life by dynamically adjusting fluidity based on the content.
Meanwhile, the Pro XL reaches 6.8 inches, designed for those looking for an immersive experience in both productivity and digital entertainment.
Both models share the Tensor G5 with 16GB of RAM, a notable jump over the standard Pixel 10. This translates into more powerful performance when you're multitasking. And, most importantly, better management of the most advanced AI features.
This processor is paired with Android 16 in its cleanest version , without any added layers, and comes standard with Gemini Nano, a lightweight version of the company's AI model.
The battery also plays a key role in this new device. With 4,870 mAh in the Pro, similar to that of an iPhone 16 Pro Max , and 5,200 mAh in the Pro XL; Google promises more than 24 hours of continuous use and up to 72 hours in extreme saving mode.
Plus, 30W fast charging allows you to recover more than half of the battery in just 30 minutes, facilitating intensive use without worry. This is complemented by the IP68 certification, which guarantees resistance to dust and immersion in water.

The third big star of the event was the Pixel 10 Pro Fold , Google's new model to compete in the "foldable" segment.
Google said it redesigned its foldable phone's display with a thin, folded glass and two layers of impact-resistant film for added drop protection, ensuring the Pixel 10 Pro Fold can last more than 10 years of use.
Its 6.4-inch OLED external display has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a brightness of 3,000 nits, perfect for daily use without having to unfold the device.
The real show, however, is inside: opening it reveals an 8-inch LTPO OLED panel, with a refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 3,300 nits, designed for productivity, multitasking, and consuming content on social networks .
Inside, it features the same Tensor G5 chip with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, accompanied by a 5,015mAh battery with 45W fast charging.

For the first time, the entry-level Pixel phone features three cameras , though the new lenses aren't as good as those on the Pro models.
Meanwhile, the Pro models will now feature a third telephoto lens, which the company says enables "first-class zoom" and "the best video quality and video stabilization on any smartphone."
While the foldable model has a 48-megapixel telephoto lens, it offers "the highest zoom quality among smartphones in the US and the widest zoom to date, reaching a maximum of 100x through a combination of hardware, software, and AI."
On the other hand, the hardware introduced this year takes advantage of Google's latest artificial intelligence technology, Gemini , to power its Pixel 10, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2A.
One of its new tools is Magic Cue, which can connect information from Gmail , calendars, screenshots, and messages to proactively display relevant information and suggest helpful actions when the user needs them.

The person in charge of demonstrating this new function was comedian Jimmy Fallon , who used this AI assistant in his messages to -without changing applications- share information about a restaurant reservation and the arrival of his flight -information taken from his email-.
While Alex Cooper, the host of the podcast Call Her Daddy , is in charge of testing Camera Coach, an AI tool that helps the user become a better photographer by suggesting improvements in composition or framing.
Cooper joked that with this tool, couples will no longer have excuses for taking bad photos .
Another announcement was an AI tool that translates from English to Spanish , German, Japanese, French, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Russian, and Indonesian—and vice versa—and that is capable of doing so using a voice that sounds similar to the other person's, rather than a robotic one.
In a presentation to journalists prior to the event, Google noted that this AI doesn't "clone the voice," but simply "sounds similar."
When this feature is activated, the interlocutors are notified that Google is performing the translation and that the conversation will not be saved.
At the Made by Google 2025 event held on Wednesday, it wasn't just the internet search engine's new phones that were the center of attention. In fact, several comments were made against one of its main competitors, specifically Apple and its popular iPhone , highlighting the flaws in its AI or comparing the photos the two devices can take.
Google's head of devices and services, Rick Osterloh, was the first to criticize Apple, saying there were "a lot of broken promises" regarding the incorporation of AI into phones, apparently alluding to the delay in the launch of Siri , Apple's AI-enhanced version.
"Gemini (Google's AI) is the ultimate solution," Osterloh told Jimmy Fallon, who hosted the event in a studio in Brooklyn, New York.
Several celebrities participated in the presentation, such as basketball player Stephen Curry and the Jonas Brothers group, who announced that their latest music video was recorded with a Pixel 10.

Unlike other brands such as Samsung, Motorola or Xiaomi, Google Pixels are not officially sold in Argentina .
The main reason is that the company prioritizes markets where it has a larger user share and a more established service ecosystem, such as the United States, Europe, and some Asian countries.
Added to this are high import costs and local logistical hurdles, which make it more expensive for equipment to arrive in the country.
For this reason, those looking for a Pixel in Argentina often resort to direct import or resellers , without the support of an official warranty or authorized technical support.
The Google Pixel 10 Pro and Google Pixel 10 Pro XL are available for reservations or pre-orders starting August 20th and will not be available in official stores until the 28th.
The Pixel 10 is priced at $799 ; the 10 Pro costs $999 ; while the 10 Pro XL is priced at $1,119 . These devices are available for pre-order today, and in stores starting August 28.
Finally, the foldable 10 Pro Fold is the most expensive : it will cost $1,799 and will not be available for sale until October 9.
