Moulinex Blend Up, finally a blender that doesn't talk while blending

Moulinex Blend Up is a blender. It has the shape of a blender and the sound of a blender. Select a program—it has eight—press start, and then you can watch the pieces of fruit, ice, or vegetables break into tiny pieces until they become a thick liquid that rises and falls into the glass. The Blend Up apparently does what you'd expect from a blender. That's precisely why I wanted to try it. You don't have to talk to it, it doesn't respond, it doesn't connect to ChatGPT or Alexa, it doesn't whisper recipes, and it doesn't connect online to update its firmware.

It's an appliance that seems happily and confidently born in the 1990s, and has no intention of conceding anything to Gen Z, AI, or digital. It has no touchscreen, no apps, and doesn't connect to your most advanced devices. It doesn't care. Its purpose is to chop, blend, and mince. It doesn't entertain you; it focuses on one thing at a time because it has three sharp, precise blades that rotate thanks to the power of a 1000W motor. It has no ambitions other than to perform its function, which is to make smoothies, plant-based drinks, soups, sauces, and much more. If you want, the only concessions to modernity are "auto clean," a dedicated program to facilitate cleaning the blades and jug, and "silence mode," a silent function for gentle blending without disturbing others. These are the two programs I never use. Precisely because it is a blender, and it is an appliance that also serves to detox from AI contamination.
