Crew 11 mission launched with four astronauts VIDEO

After two postponements , the Crew 11 mission has launched . From the Kennedy Space Center, the Falcon 9 rocket was launched with the Crew Dragon Endeavour shuttle, which is undertaking its sixth flight . On board are four astronauts headed to the International Space Station . They are the Americans Zena Cardman in the role of commander and the pilot Mike Fincke for the fourth time in space, the Russian Oleg Platonov, and the Japanese Kimiya Yui, on her second time on the ISS. The four Crew Dragon astronauts on the ISS will be welcomed by the seven astronauts of Expedition 73 , under the command of the Japanese Takuya Onishi: the Americans Anne McClain, Nichole Ayers and Jonny Kim and the Russians Kirill Peskov, Sergey Ryzhikov and Alexey Zubritsky. Begun on April 19, 2025, Expedition 73 will conclude in November. The newcomers will have to perform several experiments , one of which aims to study the effect of weightlessness on the development of stem cells , but above all they will have to check the conditions of the Crew Dragon Endeavour capsule after its sixth flight. SpaceX capsules are in fact certified for five flights , and for its sixth flight, Endeavour has been modified for a longer operational life.
