Huawei launches a new challenge for well-being from Venice

With the new Fit 4 smartwatch series and a summer challenge inspired by the 2025 Architecture Biennale, Huawei promotes an active and conscious lifestyle, accessible from anywhere
The “Anelli Attività Venezia Challenge”, launched by Huawei on the occasion of the 2025 Architecture Biennale, where the company is the official partner of the Chinese Pavilion, starts in Venice, but is designed to accompany anyone, wherever they are. The challenge, active until July 17, invites users to burn at least 1500 kcal to receive a digital medal inspired by Venice. The initiative is accessible via the Huawei Health app on Android and iOS smartphones, and integrates with the new devices in the HUAWEI Watch FIT 4 series, designed to transform every daily gesture – whether a walk or a stretching session – into a concrete step towards well-being.
Inspired by the theme of the Biennale “Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective.”, the challenge combines art, technology and movement, promoting an idea of immersive wellness. Venice thus becomes the symbol of a broader personal journey, in which technology acts as an ally to improve body awareness, even in contexts of leisure and relaxation. The core of the Huawei proposal are the “activity rings”: three colored circles that close every day only if the goals of calories burned, minutes of exercise and active hours are reached. A simple but effective dynamic, which is combined with a European context where, according to the European Health Index 2025 conducted by Huawei with Ipsos, over 60% of people do not know the guidelines for healthy sleep and 22% do not reach the minimum levels of physical activity recommended by the WHO.
The new Watch FIT 4 and the FIT 4 PRO version (available at €169 and €279 respectively) include features such as TruSense for health monitoring, guided breathing, dedicated sports modes and offline navigation. With a long-lasting battery, they are also the ideal companions on holiday, without the need for structured sessions at the gym. The Venetian project is part of the larger international initiative “Active Rings”, which has already involved millions of users between Europe and Asia, and which will continue in 2025 with stops in Latin America and the Middle East. The mission is clear: to make well-being an integral part of everyday life, without constraints of time or place.
According to Ipsos survey data, smartwatch users are more motivated and aware: 78% of healthcare professionals have observed a tangible improvement in their lifestyle, with an increase in physical activity. With over 200 million wrist devices shipped, Huawei confirms its position as a global leader in the sector in the first quarter of 2025, according to the latest IDC report. With the “Anelli Attività Venezia” challenge, the company is not simply offering a product, but an invitation to rediscover your own rhythm and transform every context into an opportunity to take care of yourself. Even on vacation, even on the move.
