The Shapes of the Voice. The Varzi Festival opens. A Journey into Music

The voice is the theme chosen for this year's Varzi Festival , which will be held from September 3rd to 7th in the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese. For five days, the village will transform into a sprawling stage where music , theater , art , and spoken word will take center stage. Several events will feature nationally and internationally renowned artists, in a dialogue between tradition and modernity, the sacred and the profane, memory and experimentation.

The opening ceremony, at 8:30 pm on Wednesday, September 3rd, in the Villa Mangini park, will feature writer and art critic Fulvio Abbate in conversation with artist Marco Lodola , honorary president of VarziArte and creator of the festival's visual identity. Following this, at 9:30 pm, actress and singer-songwriter Violante Placido will perform "Femmes Fatales," a musical journey dedicated to five female icons, accompanied by an exceptional band.

On Thursday the 4th at 9:30 pm, Noemi will perform her "Nostalgia Summer Tour," an intimate piano and vocal performance featuring hits like "Glicine" and "Vuoto a perdere" as well as songs from her new album "Nostalgia." On Friday the 5th at 9:30 pm, actress Pamela Villoresi and jazz pianist Danilo Rea will perform "Terra," a show that blends theater and music, inspired by Valeria Moretti's lyrics, to explore the connection between humanity and nature.

On Saturday 6th at 9.30pm the church of San Germano Vescovo will host a tribute to Antonio Vivaldi with the motet "In furore iustissimae irae RV 626", performed by the ensemble I Barocchisti directed by Diego Fasolis , with the mezzo-soprano Lucia Cirillo , a leading interpreter of the Baroque repertoire.

On Sunday the 7th, the festival will conclude with a day of talks led by Paolo Ciavarro, dedicated to promoting the area and enriched by guided tours and walking tours to discover Varzi.
