In Desio, an evening dedicated to the singer-songwriter and his songs, revisited by Teo Manzo. The cocktail invented in Venice for the Austrian troops will also be featured.
Songs by one of Italy's greatest singer-songwriters and musicians, particularly those from his now-historic album, will be revisited in an unplugged version to showcase their charm and poetry. And then, an evening dedicated to discovering the history, classic, and international recipes of one of the most famous cocktails. These are the two events scheduled for these days at Parco Tittoni .
The Desio festival will light up with music today at 9:30 pm with a "Tribute to Lucio Dalla " featuring singer-songwriter Teo Manzo , aka Kublai. Acclaimed for his first solo album, "Le Piromani," released ten years ago and crowned with several awards, the artist then toured Italy with the show "De André 2.0" to mark the twentieth anniversary of Faber's passing, and in 2020 he launched the Kublai project. At the Tittoni, he will bring an intimate acoustic concert , a tribute that will allow us to rediscover the depth and beauty of Lucio Dalla's songs. This year also marks the 45th anniversary of the 1980 release of "Dalla," an album that shaped Italian music history with gems like "La sera dei miracoli," "Cara," and "Balla balla ballerino." These are songs that have accompanied entire generations and will be the focus of the show, brought to life in a spare and touching way. Free admission.
The event will replace the scheduled concert by Giorgia Fumanti & The Crew Ensemble, which was canceled at the last minute "for reasons beyond the control of the organization or the artist," the Brianza festival clarifies. Wednesday, starting at 7:30 pm, will instead feature " Spritz Night ," an event entirely dedicated to the famous cocktail. "The origins of the spritz can be traced back to the custom of Austrian Imperial troops stationed in Lombardy-Venetia of diluting local wines, with high alcohol content, with seltzer or sparkling water," the organizers explain. "Hence the name, which is believed to derive from the Austrian German verb "spritzen," meaning to spray, that is, to dilute wine and sparkling water."
