Como - Man lends his bike to a friend, then calls the police and reports it stolen - - Varese News

Last night, the Como State Police reported a 30-year-old Brazilian resident of Como for feigning a crime and raising alarm. Around 8:40 PM, officers from the UPGSP Flying Squad responded to Via Puecher in Como, following a request from the young Brazilian man who claimed he had been the victim of a theft.
Upon arriving at the scene, the boy told officers that a man of Egyptian origin had threatened him with something resembling a gun in an attempt to steal his bicycle. Faced with these statements, officers immediately began reconstructing the events.
The police then located a 20-year-old man of Egyptian origins with a bicycle. However, he justified his actions by explaining that the bicycle had been lent to him shortly before by the same 30-year-old acquaintance, who, upon seeing the 20-year-old, began denying everything he had said earlier. Given the situation, the officers took the 30-year-old Brazilian to the police station for further investigation. They learned that, a few months ago in Como, he had been reported for aggravated assault. He was subsequently reported again by the Como Police Headquarters patrol car for raising alarm and for feigning a crime.
