The event in the historic center, including the Gianna Nannini Award tonight
The countdown is over for the 38th edition of the Ferrara Buskers Festival®, running from today until Sunday in Ferrara's charming historic center. A true open-air theater, with more than 60 shows every evening, as well as talks, exhibitions, workshops for adults and children dedicated to the environment and music, quality street food, and an artistic crafts market (tickets start at €11, with a full pass for the entire event for €25 and free admission for children under 13).
The Ferrara Buskers Festival staff has been working with the city for weeks to ensure this event is as enjoyable as possible. They went door-to-door on every street within the performance area, handing out hundreds of bracelets to residents, merchants, and all employees of organizations and businesses in the historic center.
The official opening is tonight at 7:30 pm, while the Gianna Nannini Award will be presented at 8:30 pm. In 2020, appearing from the Estense Castle, the artist enchanted an audience just returning to life after Covid with her voice and charisma. In this first edition, the award will go to busker Tribalneed. The artists' show will then take place between 10:00 pm and midnight. A total of 90 groups have been invited, for a total of 259 artists, 121 of whom are under 35. The artists come from 19 nationalities, including Australia, Canada, South Korea, Russia, Japan, and, for the first time, Taiwan.
