Weekend of June 28 and 29: six ideas for outings in Île-de-France

A family visit to the Château de Sceaux, the last day of the Maisons-Laffitte jazz festival, stocking up on books at the Saint-Germain-des-Prés fair... Here are six outings to do this Sunday in Île-de-France.

The Maisons-Laffitte Jazz Festival concludes this Sunday with two concerts. At 5 p.m., the group Les Doigts de l'homme will be performing not five, but six, with two guitars, a drum kit, a double bass, and percussion, blending acoustic and electric, traditional and modern.
At 7 p.m., Olivier Franc, a leading figure in old-school jazz, will take the stage with his band Franc Connexion. His mastery of the soprano saxophone and his inimitable swing make him Sidney Bechet's greatest heir. He will be accompanied by a piano, trombone, double bass, and drums.
