Chalon-sur-Saône: A charity carp enduro for sick children

48 intense hours of carp fishing will be experienced in a friendly atmosphere, with exciting challenges to overcome and festive moments to share, on the occasion of a charity enduro which should be unforgettable this long weekend of August 15. Ten duos including two mixed, composed mainly of Chalonnais but not only, are ready to do battle in order to land the best catches.
This enduro is organized by the fishing association Team Barbus, from Friday at 10:30 a.m. to Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in the Saint-Marcel/Epervans dock, and not in the Lac des Prés Saint-Jean as initially planned, due to an event independent of the organization.
“Profits from this event will go to the Coup d'Pouce association . It supports children with cancer in Burgundy and their families,” explains Françoise Gueugneau, the association’s treasurer. “My daughter was ill last year, and Coup d'Pouce was a real pillar during this ordeal. We wanted to support them in turn.”
Alongside this enduro, there will be a raffle for fishermen and a goodies stand.
