Bombshell! Microsoft and ASUS unveil ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X handheld consoles, coming this year

Microsoft announced the launch of two new portable consoles developed in collaboration with ASUS: the ROG Xbox Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally X, designed to offer an optimized portable gaming experience thanks to the integration of the Windows operating system and full access to the Xbox ecosystem.
Both models will be available by the end of 2025 in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Mexico, and others.
Two models for different types of players The ROG Xbox Ally model is aimed at a wide audience, from casual gamers to enthusiasts, with a focus on value for money.
The ROG Xbox Ally X, meanwhile, is designed for those looking for maximum performance and advanced features like expanded storage, higher RAM, and triggers with haptic feedback.
Both devices allow you to play natively, through the cloud, or via remote connection to an Xbox console.
A complete Xbox experience in portable format The devices include the new Xbox Full Screen Experience mode, which launches immediately upon turning on the console and provides quick access to a unified library of games from Xbox, Game Pass, Battle.net, and other digital stores.
It also features optimized controls for portable use, with an improved Game Bar that makes it easier to access chats, settings, game libraries, and apps.
Thanks to the integration of Windows 11 and ASUS's Armoury Crate tool, gamers will be able to run apps like Discord, Twitch, or mods, in addition to accessing familiar accessibility features from Xbox consoles.
