VOGUE in September 2025: These are the most beautiful pictures from the issue

VOGUE in September: These are the topics and most beautiful pictures from the issue.
With the September issue, we're ringing in the new fashion season – with a focus on the strength and creativity of women. "Especially now, in times when the patriarchy is rearing its head and trying to reverse the progress of recent decades, it's wonderful to see how persistent women are. How strong. How creative. This issue is therefore a celebration of women," writes Kerstin Weng in the editorial for the issue.
One of these women is cover star Paloma Elsesser , who has shaped the fashion industry like no other model for over ten years and talks about her passion, writing, in the cover interview. The photo series was shot in Paris , on the outskirts of the famous Puces de Saint-Ouen flea market—partly in pouring rain—which didn't detract from the photos in any way.
VOGUE in September 2025: The best of fashion, beauty and featuresThe fashion section also focuses on inspiring women, including female creative directors Sarah Burton, Louise Trotter, and Veronica Leoni, who discuss their visions for Givenchy, Bottega Veneta, and Calvin Klein. Actress Luna Wedler, who will be seen in the long-awaited film adaptation of the bestselling novel "22 Lanes" starting September 4th, will also present the latest fall fashion . Additionally, Berlin-based sneaker collector Julia Schoierer will showcase her collection and discuss why, despite owning over 1,000 pairs, she doesn't see her sneakers as investment pieces.
In Beauty, our author tests out a clinic that offers special treatments for women in perimenopause and explains why the visit was life-changing for her. She also discusses the new refill trend that's giving many bottles a longer lifespan and the latest newcomer: the Louis Vuitton makeup line.
Autumn also has a lot to offer culturally, not just in well-known hotspots like Berlin or Munich, but also in the Rhine-Ruhr region, where there are currently a particularly large number of exciting exhibitions on display. Our author, Fabian Hart, also met with some protagonists of Berlin's ballroom scene and spoke with them about safe spaces for trans* people and solidarity . We also spoke with Mascha Schilinksi, whose film "Looking into the Sun" was just the first film by a German female director to win an award at the Cannes Film Festival and has just been nominated as the German candidate for "Best International Film" at the 2026 Oscars.
Women are also attracting attention in the music world at the moment, especially some German female rappers who are asserting themselves in a male-dominated industry – and continuing despite headwinds. We're also featuring images from the PhotoVOGUE competition, which focused on images about womanhood.
