Copenhagen Fashion Week: Four street style trends that immediately captured our fashion hearts

Copenhagen Fashion Week offers plenty of fashion inspiration not only on the catwalks, but also on the streets, where we discover some fashion highlights that we can copy right away.
Anyone heading to Copenhagen Fashion Week can look forward to a healthy dose of fashion inspiration—and not just from the runway. Hardly any other city offers so many, and especially colorful, looks that you'll want to save for your own closet immediately. These four trends made it straight onto our shopping list.

According to Copenhagen fashionistas, transparent fabrics in dresses, skirts, and tops are no longer just for the red carpet or glamorous dinner parties. Organza skirts, combined with oversized shirts or worn over trousers, are conquering relaxed street style and adding effortless glamour to everyday life. Tip: If you're wearing an organza skirt as a layering piece, opt for flowing fabrics underneath – this creates a more beautiful silhouette.

No leopard print, no cow print: At this Fashion Week, it was good old polka dots that dominated the looks on and off the runways. Mostly in black and white, with the occasional colorful twist, we wear them as skirts, dresses, or, especially cute, as headscarves or scarves. Combined with pearls or lace, they create a classic, old-school look. In bright colors or combined with other patterns, they appear particularly modern and contemporary—and even more fun.

Havaianas have been dominating the streets of Scandi cities for several years now. But this year, the trend seems to be reaching its peak. Flip-flops in bright colors or understated black are here to stay—and now they're fashion week-ready, too. So, we're increasingly saying "hey hey" to chunky sneakers or platform sandals. The cleaner and simpler the shoe, the better. But when it comes to colors, we can be bold!

Everything comes back around, and some faster than others. Some millennial fashionistas may have just sorted out asymmetric, oversized tops à la Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, or Ashley Tisdale with a nostalgic smile, when they pop up again in high street shops. Worn with baggy jeans, we're reinterpreting the 2000s trend in a particularly trendy way. Trending now: styles with lace details worn under a loose T-shirt.
