Concealer hack: With this trick, you'll never buy the wrong concealer again.

1 min.Makeup is an art in itself, and finding the right color or consistency for foundation or concealer isn't always easy. We'll reveal a very simple trick that will ensure no one ever chooses the wrong concealer again.
A smooth base is essential for successful makeup, whether you're going for a full-face look or a clean, natural style. If the concealer is too light, too dark, or settles annoyingly into fine lines, it can quickly ruin the entire result. Luckily, thanks to social media, we've become mini makeup pros ourselves. With this trick, we can easily check how the concealer looks under our eyes and never again end up with an uneven base. Sounds promising? It is – and super simple, too.

The great thing about hacks is that they're usually really simple, and we just haven't thought of them ourselves. For our concealer trick, we start with a concealer of our choice. Normally, we would test it on the back of our hand or maybe even directly on our face. That's not wrong in itself, but it doesn't help us if we want to know whether the concealer has the right texture for our skin type.
Concealer hack: A small difference with a big impactThe crucial difference is that we apply the product to the palm of our hand, as the skin and wrinkles there behave similarly to the skin on our face. By moving our thumb and allowing the concealer to dry slightly, we can observe whether it settles into fine lines, flakes off, or if we simply don't like the consistency.
Concealer hack: How do I find the right color?Cool skin tones with reddish or bluish undertones should opt for rosy shades, while warm skin tones with golden or beige complexions should choose yellowish or brownish tones. The concealer should be about half a shade to a full shade lighter than your natural skin tone. Instead of testing the color on the back of your hand, it's more effective to try it directly on your face or collarbone, as the shade will most closely match your natural skin tone there.
