After the "Speedcat", Puma is launching the next must-have sneaker for 2025

Patience is a virtue. A saying that definitely holds true in fashion, as it takes months for runway trends to actually become available. So, once you've put a particular piece on your wish list, it's a case of waiting.
This is also the case with the new sneaker trend from Puma . It was first spotted at Copenhagen Fashion Week earlier this year. At the label Opéra Sport, models presented a sneaker with a previously unknown silhouette alongside the hyped sneaker ballerinas . Almost half a year later, the trend is now hitting the market – and definitely has the potential to become a must-have for summer 2025.

Admittedly, this Puma sneaker isn't entirely new. Like the popular "Speedcat," worn in the past by stars like Jennifer Lawrence, the new "H-Street" is based on a Puma archive model. It's a reinterpretation of a spiked running shoe designed for track and field athletes in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This makes the new edition a perfect fit for the ongoing trend surrounding runner and slim sneakers.
Elements of the original "Harambee" are now also found in the new "H-Street": a slim shape, a flat, track-inspired sole, and a lightweight mesh upper. These meet nostalgic details like a T-shaped toe cap and silver-colored elements. The Puma logo is prominently placed on the front of the toe cap.
A first glimpse of how fantastic the sneaker trend can look off the track was already apparent at the Opéra Sport fashion show. There, the mesh model in black and silver was paired with elegant suit trousers and a romantic blouse with a lace corset.
