Disney Hikes Parks Prices, But Adds Discounts Too
Disney is kicking off a new fiscal year with another price hike to tickets, parking fees, and more.
Annual price increases are typical, although the latest are smaller than recent years’ and were announced alongside new discounts.
The price changes come as Disney continues to pour money into its theme parks, an increasingly important source of profits as the company pivots from cable to streaming.
“The profitability of the streaming service just isn't as good immediately,” said Gavin Doyle, founder of MickeyVisit.com, a blog focused on Disney’s theme parks. Higher operational costs, stemming from inflation and increased staff wages, also play a role in the recent price changes.
