Video: Ayo Edebiri Makes Venice Debut in Old Hollywood-Inspired Custom Chanel

Ayo Edebiri recently transformed into a full-on Chanel girl at her Venice Film Festival debut. As per this video, the actor donned not one, but two different pieces from the label on the same day. Ayo Edebiri first dazzled in a custom red strapless gown, before stepping out in a classic Chanel tweed suit. The suit was made in an off-white tweed. With two stunning pieces back-to-back, the star made quite a style statement for her Venice red carpet debut.

For Ayo Edebiri, it the first time she attended the Venice Film Festival. As can be seen, she made sure all eyes were on her and her stunning old Hollywood-inspired, custom Chanel dress. As per Harper’s Bazaar, the actress was a vision in a custom red strapless gown for the official premiere for her Luca Guadagnino-directed film, “After the Hunt”.

Tailored to perfection, the dreamy floor-length gown had draping in all the right places. A cascading train, column silhouette, and an asymmetric tiered waistline came together to made sure the dress stood out on the carpet. The only bling factor to the dress was the addition of bejeweled ruby buttons near the waistline. Edebiri’s go-to stylist Danielle Goldberg told Vogue that “the ruby crystal encrusted buttons on the bodice of the gown” is a “minimal detail that feels really special.”

Even the star could not stop praising the dress. Talking about the outfit, she told the outlet, “The Chanel team is so beyond talented. The dress took 270 hours to make, but even when the muslin was draped on me, you could feel how special it was and what a high level of craft went into it.”

And, it’s not just the gown that the 29-year-old actor wore on the red carpet. At the film’s photo call, Edebiri wore yet another Chanel number, a classic white tweed suit, which was as elegant as her first outfit. Much like the dress, the suit also featured an asymmetrical look. The signature gold buttons could be seen on the jacket, as well as on the tapered trousers.
