BBC Breakfast halted as presenters share devastating breaking news annoucement

BBC Breakfast took an unexpected turn during the latest episode as Charlie Stayt announced the death of Virginia Giuffre.

Charlie was back at the helm on Saturday (April 26) alongside his regular co-host Naga Munchetty.

During the programme, Naga handed the reins over to Charlie and said: "Charlie, we've had some news from the early hours come through."

Charlie replied: "Yes, this story is emerging overnight. Virginia Giuffre, who accused Prince Andrew and Jeffery Epstein of sexual abuse has died by suicide in her home in Austrailia."
