Reservation required for Virgin Mary Nature Park

In the letter sent to travel agencies by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry , it was noted that from now on, entrance fees will have to be paid by making a reservation in advance when entering the Virgin Mary Nature Park .

It was noted in the letter that as of the end of 2024, the entrance control point of the Virgin Mary Nature Park was taken over by the General Directorate of Forestry and a free passage system with HGS or license plate system was established at the entrance, and that one of the entrance units of the area was put into operation for foreign visitors either by allowing passage after payment by credit card at the entrance or by entering information about the vehicle, license plate, company and the number of visitors in the vehicle through the online reservation system before the entrance date and making a prepayment.

In the letter stating that in order for effective coordination to be provided by the administration at the entrances to the Virgin Mary Nature Park, tour companies should make online reservations and pay the fees before entering the area, it was stated that “In this entire process, in order for effective coordination to be provided by our administration at the gate entrances of the Virgin Mary Nature Park and to prevent visitor density and incomplete notification problems and to prevent the parties from being victimized; you were informed that the relevant tour companies should be informed that they can enter the Virgin Mary Nature Park by making their reservations and payments online via the national parks link of the hgsmusteri.ptt.gov.tr ​​web address before entering the current area.”

The letter signed by Regional Director Kerem Gençoğlu continued as follows:

In this context; as of 01.08.2025, according to the agreement made between PTT and our administration, a prepaid system will be implemented and credit cards will not be used. In order to prevent all agencies and visitors from being victimized, I kindly request that the relevant tour companies make their reservations and payments online via the national parks link of the hgsmusteri.ptt.gov.tr ​​website before entering the current area and then enter the Meryemana Nature Park, and that the necessary and sufficient measures be taken in advance in this regard.”

After the elections, it was transferred to the Ministry of Forestry

The Virgin Mary Nature Park, previously operated by the Selçuk Municipality, was taken from the municipality after the elections and transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The entrance fee for the Virgin Mary Nature Park, whose operation was transferred to the Ministry, is 180 lira for cars, 540 lira for minibuses, 900 lira for midibuses, 1800 lira for buses and 120 lira for motorcycles. The entrance fee to the park is 60 lira per person for local visitors and 500 lira per person for foreign visitors.
