Internet usage rate announced in Türkiye! The most used application has been revealed
The active use of artificial intelligence on digital platforms has also increased internet usage. According to a newly published Household Information Technology Usage Survey, the percentage of individuals using the internet has reached 90.9 percent.
INTERNET USAGE RATES IN TürkiyeLast year, the internet usage rate among the 16-74 age group was 88.8%, a year-on-year increase. Male internet usage was 93.6%, while female internet usage was 88.2%.
The number of people using e-government services reached 76.1 percent. Men used e-government services at 82.8 percent and women at 69.5 percent. According to the announcement, the rate of using these services was 92.8 percent among the 25-34 age group. This rate decreased as the age group increased. According to the data, the rate of use dropped to 29.6 percent among the 65-74 age group.
On the other hand, purchasing or ordering goods or services over the internet was at 55.7 percent.
The rate of people who engage in online learning activities remained quite low at 17.7 percent.
MOST USED APPLICATIONS IN TürkiyeAccording to TurkStat data, WhatsApp was the most used social media and messaging app with 88.6%. YouTube came in second with 72.9%, and Instagram came in third with 68.1%.
