Crane Removes Crane from Dam in Burdur

A fire training aircraft that crashed into the Karacaören Dam near the village of Elsazı in the Bucak district of Burdur yesterday has been recovered from the water. The aircraft, which took off from the Antalya Regional Directorate of Forestry, crashed into the dam during a test run.

It was learned that the 75-year-old Spanish pilot Enrique Torres Verdur and the 52-year-old Turkish pilot Aydıner Çıldır, who escaped the accident by their own means and were brought to shore in a fishing boat, were in good health.

During the work carried out today, the wreckage of the plane that sank into the water in the dam was removed with the help of a crane and carried to land.
