After Sayhan's arrest, a trustee was appointed to Assan!

Following the arrest of former MKE Chairman İsmet Sayhan, an investigation was expanded, and Assan Group owner Emin Öner and company general manager Gürcan Okumuş were detained on charges of membership in the FETÖ armed terrorist organization and military espionage. The two individuals were detained, and 10 companies operating under the Assan Group were placed under trusteeship.

Öner and Sayhan were known for their closeness with Bahçeli.

The statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is as follows:

"As a result of the ongoing investigations within the scope of the military espionage investigations carried out by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in recent times and known to the public, the suspect Emin Öner, the owner of the company operating under the name of ASSAN GROUP, and the company's general manager Gürcan Okumuş, were identified to have contacts with the armed terrorist organization of FETO and military espionage activities. Taking into account the importance of the business lines they operate in, detention warrants were issued for the suspects on charges of being a member of an armed terrorist organization and military espionage. The individuals were taken into custody today. Search operations at their residences and workplaces are continuing. In addition, the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund has been appointed as trustee for (10) companies operating under the name of ASSAN GROUP. The investigation is continuing in multiple directions."
