Vuslat Doğan Sabancı made a deeply emotional statement, announcing that they had ended their 29-year marriage today. The details she shared about the accident and its aftermath were striking.
The couple's joint statements are as follows;
We broke up.
We've ended our 29-year marriage. We've celebrated our life together and endured many challenges. We've made so many wonderful memories. Most importantly, we've raised two kind, intelligent, and kind-hearted children.
In recent years, we began experiencing difficulties in our relationship. It was as if one of us was in winter while the other was in summer. No matter how hard we tried, we couldn't find each other during the same season. Then one evening, our family boat grounded on the rocks. We entered a difficult period that began with prayers and continued with the determination and effort to heal.
Initially, we thought this incident would bring us closer and strengthen us. That wasn't the case. One of us was able to return to a normal life after three months of very difficult conditions. The other, although not life-threatening, entered a very difficult period that would continue for two years, progressing at a slow pace. Now that we've fully recovered, we've decided to end our marriage.
We would like to thank everyone who surrounded us with love, offered their prayers, and wholehearted support during these difficult times.
As we part today, there are three things we want to put on record: First, we never held each other responsible for the accident or blamed each other. Second, we are parting ways without any financial demands on each other.
Thirdly, we are each other's best friends for a lifetime.

Since childhood, I've always expressed myself best through writing. My interest in reading, writing, and expressing emotions eloquently led me to pursue a BA in Comparative Literature and a MA in Cultural Studies. While I've been examining works from many different countries and cultures, my interest in celebrity and magazines has always kept me alive. I've been a magazine editor for about five years, and for the last year and a half, I've been working as one at Onedio. As my Onedio adventure continues, I hope to produce sincere, entertaining, and engaging content, engaging with every imaginable detail, like a woman-to-woman conversation!
