The 6th Kastamonu Siyez Festival was held in Sultangazi

The 6th Siyez Festival in Kastamonu, held in Sultangazi, brought the vibrant colors of Anatolian culture to Istanbul. Visitors who filled the festival grounds enjoyed a fun day filled with local delicacies and traditional performances. Folk dances performed by the Taşköprü Folklore Group provided a colorful spectacle. Siyez bulgur and other local products were showcased in tents set up in the festival area. Participants also had the opportunity to sample the local delicacies.

The festival, jointly organized by the Sultangazi Municipality and the Kastamonu Solidarity Association, was attended by many citizens, including Sultangazi District Governor Mahmut Kaşıkçı, Sultangazi Mayor Av. Abdurrahman Dursun, Arnavutköy Mayor Mustafa Candaroğlu, AK Party Kastamonu Provincial Chairman Ahmet Sevgilioğlu, Kastamonu district mayors, AK Party District Chairman İmdat Kamacı, and KAS-DER Chairman Rahmi Sezer.

Following the opening remarks, the protocol members toured the tent displaying Kastamonu's local products. Speaking at the event, Sultangazi Mayor Av. Abdurrahman Dursun said, “Kastamonu is the land of heroes. The path to liberation runs through it. Knowing that the people of Kastamonu have a very strong presence in Sultangazi, we brought a wonderful cultural center, the Şehit Şerife Bacı Cultural Center, to Sultangazi. Now, many wonderful services are being provided there. The Şehit Şerife Bacı Cultural Center is a living center that serves young people, children, and everyone from 7 to 77, with its architecture reminiscent of Anatolian Seljuk architecture. It reminds us of Anatolia, our culture, and the Ottoman Empire. It also references our roots, customs, and traditions. The Anatolian Culture Festival will continue in Sultangazi until the end of November. Next week, the people of Adıyaman will be there. Hopefully, the people of Adıyaman will be able to showcase their traditions, customs, traditions, and food and drink culture here.”
