Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi , the 14-year-old son of Italian conductor Andrea Minguzzi and cellist Yasemin Akıncılar Minguzzi, was attacked with a knife at the flea market in Kadıköy.

Speaking on the Kanal D program she attended, Andrea Minguzzi said , "They stabbed my son in the heart 5 times. Those who did this should not be considered children, they should receive the harshest punishment.
Nothing will bring my son back, but I will do whatever I can for him. My son became an angel, a victim of all of us. The miracle we expected did not happen, but Turkey made a miracle happen. It showed us the existence of good people. I thank you for taking such great care of my son," he said.
