Genetics Professor Comments on Celebrity Drug Test Results
Test results for 19 celebrities taken in a drug operation have been released. Drugs were detected in the blood and hair samples of eight celebrities. Seven celebrities tested clean, while four were found to be taking prescription drugs in their blood and hair tests. Genetic expert Prof. Dr. Kaan Yılancıoğlu commented on the celebrities' test results.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Anti-Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes Investigation Bureau conducted drug raids on 19 celebrities. The celebrities provided statements and blood and hair samples. The drug test results have been released. Drugs were detected in the blood or hair of Dilan Polat , Derin Talu, Berrak Tüzünataç , Deren Talu , Birce Akalay, Kubilay Aka , Metin Akdülger, and Kaan Yıldırım.
Prof. Dr. Kaan Yılancıoğlu began his assessment with the statement, "A lot can be understood from these tables."

Antidepressants, anxiolytics, and painkillers naturally show up in tests when used for medical treatment. These are not narcotics, they are medications. (They are detected in the blood for a few days.)
In case of substance use or exposure, substances such as THC-COOH, benzoylecgonine/methylecgonine can also be detected as a result of direct use or environmental contact.
False-positive results should not be ignored because some drugs, herbal products, or bugs may also give false-positive results due to similar chemical structures. They should be carefully evaluated by forensic toxicologists.
If you ask about the permanence of hair analysis, even old use can show positive results since the substances can remain in the hair for weeks/months.'
