American cosmonauts and astronauts also watch "White Sun of the Desert" before their flights. A confirming photo, in which Americans are captured watching a film about Red Army soldier Sukhov, was published by the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center.

Russian Oleg Platonov will soon be sent into space on the SpaceX Crew-11 ship together with two other cosmonauts, Sergei Prokopyev and Alexander Grebenkin. He is currently traveling to the United States, where he is participating in preparations for the launch with other crew members.

It is noted that Russians have already mastered NASA traditions, such as meeting with those seeing off at a distance and vacationing with family on the Atlantic coast. However, they also brought domestic ones. Now in the US, astronauts before the launch, as in Baikonur, are sure to watch "White Sun of the Desert".
