#1 FAS Russia will study the pricing policy of a number of pharmaceutical companies, said Deputy Head of the agency Timofey Nizhegorodtsev. Inspections may take place in organizations whose non-interchangeable drugs have a dominant position in the market. According to the representative of the antimonopoly service, the initiative will allow "to cool down from overheating" the segment of drugs not included in the list of vital and essential drugs. In addition, Nizhegorodtsev announced the regulator's plans to rethink industry compliance when selecting contractors.
#2 The Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation has approved an order on the specifics of conducting a special assessment of working conditions (SAWC) for medical specialists. Among other things, the document sets out the procedure for SAWC for ambulance workers, intensive care units, and doctors providing psychiatric care. The document will replace a similar regulation from 2015, will come into force on September 1, 2025, and will be valid until March 1, 2029. In particular, the order states that the assessment of working conditions for intensive care employees will vary depending on a number of factors. During the public discussion of the draft regulation, it was proposed to indicate that SAWC in intensive care should be classified as harmful, but the agency did not take this remark into account.

The Russian Ministry of Health has submitted a response to the initiative of the head of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection Sergei Leonov on mandatory testing of medical workers with foreign citizenship for knowledge of the Russian language. The regulator called the introduction of such a measure excessive, since Russian legislation already requires a foreigner to confirm proficiency in the Russian language and knowledge of the country's history when obtaining a patent or work permit.

The Russian Defense Ministry has proposed expanding the list of persons subject to mandatory genomic registration. Thus, the list may include contract soldiers, volunteers, servicemen of the Russian National Guard, employees and workers of bodies, associations, military units and organizations of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as other troops, military formations and bodies. Biological material will be stored until the servicemen reach the age of 70 or until the fact of their death is established. If approved, the law will come into force 90 days after the date of its official publication.

The owner and chief physician of the Doctor Arbitaylo chain, Yan Arbitaylo, announced the purchase of a six-story building (the Podium business center) in Tyumen with an area of over 2,000 square meters, which will house a new clinic – the tenth in a row. The amount of investment was not disclosed, but according to media reports, the property was sold for 216 million rubles. According to the company's financial statements, in 2024 the chain invested 200.9 million rubles in NIS LLC, which manages the business center. It is planned that the clinic will be opened in two stages by the end of 2025.

• The Russian Ministry of Health has adjusted the Procedure for organizing spa treatment. The new document, which will replace the current regulations approved in 2016, has shortened the list of items for equipping specialized institutions. For example, the current standard for equipping a spa clinic includes 78 items; the department has shortened this list to 75. The list has removed a device for multichannel electrical stimulation with a set of electrodes, couches for heat treatment with automatic heating, and equipment for a manual therapist. The order will come into force on September 1, 2025, and will remain in effect until the same date in 2031.
• The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation has filed a lawsuit against the Kislovodsk sanatorium "Krasnye Kamni" of the Presidential Property Management Department of the Russian Federation, the former director of the health resort Sergei Makarov, the Asset Management Center LLC and the beneficiary of this legal entity Magomed Kaitov, who previously headed the Interregional Grid Company of the North Caucasus. The department demands that the residential building, which was built on the territory of the sanatorium and should be intended for the institution's employees, be returned to the state. The hearing is scheduled for May 22, 2025 in the Cheryomushkinsky District Court of Moscow.
