The head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, Valery Falkov, announced the preparation of a bill that will allow domestic higher education institutions to switch to a new model of education. He shared the details during a conversation with RIA Novosti.
“...We see that this model in all its main elements is supported by the professional community, employers and is well received in society,” noted Valery Falkov.
As RIA Novosti pointed out, within the framework of the new principle of obtaining higher education, Russian students will be introduced to both basic and specialized programs simultaneously.
Since 2023, this model has been tested at some universities in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Tomsk.
Also, the head of the Ministry of Education and Science, Valery Falkov, previously announced the introduction of restrictions on fee-paying places in Russian universities.
