As of April 1, 2025, the number of pensioners in Russia reached almost 41 million people. These data are provided by the Social Fund of the Russian Federation system.
According to information provided by RIA Novosti, as of the indicated date, 40,961,000 pensioners were registered in the country, including approximately 8 million working people.
Social Fund data show that as of January 1, 2025, there were 41,169,796 pensioners in the Russian Federation, which is 208 thousand people more than the April figures.
At the end of May, the Russian Social Fund reported that female pensioners in Russia receive higher pensions on average than men. At the same time, the number of female pensioners is twice as high as the number of men.
The average monthly pension of federal civil servants in the Russian Federation exceeded 36 thousand rubles. According to data from the beginning of the year, upon retirement based on length of service, they are also paid an additional payment of about 15 thousand rubles.
