Former Vice-Governor of Samara Region Gendin Accused of Embezzling 100 Million Rubles

Former Vice-Governor of the Samara Region Gennady Gendin is accused of fraud amounting to about 100 million rubles. According to the case materials available to TASS , the investigation has brought a final charge against him under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud on an especially large scale).
According to the investigation, Gendin, using his position and referring to connections in the government and the presidential administration, received money from the victim for assistance in obtaining a permit for urban development work. The accused himself does not admit his guilt.
The criminal investigation is currently ongoing.
